Advent . . . Monday, December 23 . . . Peace

251

She was lonely,  distraught, and without peace.  In the dark of the night, she called me.  The thing is . . . a revelation of the gift of peace . . . often comes in the darkness.

I listened to her story and said what I knew to be true:

“Let God’s peace rest in you.  God is not shaken by this situation.  God will never give up on you. God is with you in all that you are navigating.”

The situation did not change . . . but . . . she changed as peace came and calmed the soul-deep storm.

Listen . . .

Think On This . . .

Focus  on the peace of God . . .  the kind that holds us . . .  when a life event shakes everything up.

It’s difficult to understand the power of God-peace until it’s experienced in the hardest of hard life-experiences.

People often wonder how an individual can have peace in the midst of crisis.

Because.

It’s “normal” to be “shaken” and stressed by  the hard of living.

When we accept the peace of God . . . there’s an exchange of the fear of impossibilities for faith in the possibilities . . .  which forms an unshakeable calm deep within the soul.

In turn, we are enabled to navigate the hard of chaos and crisis in and through the peace of God.

Meditate on the God words in Isaiah 54:10 (b):  . . . you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed . . .

God’s peace is unshakeable and never-ending.

Perspective . . .

“Even if the mountains were to crumble and the hills disappear, my heart of steadfast, faithful love will never leave you, and my covenant of peace with you will never be shaken,” says Yahweh, whose love and compassion  will never give up on you” (Isaiah 54:10 (TPT)).
