Investing Life

146

This is one of many life-lesson conversations . . .  Joshua and I have had the table . . . because we’ve personally and pastorally learned the importance of investing our life every. single. day.

Consider these thoughts and listen into a piece of our conversation:

Our personal “why” of living is necessary in today’s world.

But.

Life can be so overwhelming that “just getting through it” is all we can do.  It’s what has to be done in a crisis; however, crisis-living can become a normal way of thinking, speaking, and behaving.   Eventually, crisis-living becomes an obstacle to doing what’s ours to do.

So.

We need to be aware of  how crisis-living impacts the way we think, speak and behave with the intention to move out of this way of living.

It takes time, effort, and energy to move out of “crisis-living” thinking, speaking, and behaving.

But.

Freedom from “crisis-living” produces the ability and energy to invest our life into what’s ours to do.

Think On This . . .

Thursday is TableThink’s day to focus on investing an element of our life  with love and service.  We can become so focused on ourselves that we miss the value of sharing life with one another.

We’ve found our energy increases when we fully invest in the day. Conversely . . .exhaustion easily sets in  . . .  when we’re less invested.

  • First and foremost:  We invest our life with God and one another.
  • Also:  We invest in the life we’ve received, which includes self-care and continual learning.
  • Ultimately:  We invest in what serves our God-given purpose and mission, which is our “why.”

There’s a life-long return on investing in what’s ours to do.  The return continues generation after generation.

Investment of our “why” is key to living our best.

So.

Take time to review what’s yours to do today . . . your why.

  • Align your day with your why.
  • Look beyond your circumstances and see the possibilities of making a difference by activating and investing your “why.”
  • Invest your life.

Perception . . .

“Invest in truth, sock it away!  Never cash in wisdom, guidance, or insight”. (Proverbs 23:23 (Voice)).
