Think On This . . .
TableThink’s Friday . . . focuses on reviewing previous conversations . . . taking the time to rethink it all.
How we respond to others is all important.
We all have equal power to heal as well as to harm.
Love is healing. Choosing not to love is harmful to ourselves as well as others.
Most of us don’t want to talk about harming someone because . . . well . . . at the end of the day . . . we want to be the hero and heal rather than harm.
Not everyone wants to love others.
Everything changes once real love is experienced.
The more we extend ourselves with love, the more love will be experienced in this world.
When we love difficult people, we have the opportunity to experience love through the power of grace. The apostle Paul clarified God’s grace to be sufficient despite his “thorn in the flesh.”
We are given the same opportunity as Paul to experience the sufficiency of grace.
Grace is an undeserved gift of God’s power.
Choosing to love with grace allows us to respond in ways we can’t possibly do on our own . . . like . . . speaking positively about someone who’s gossiping about our life . . . or wanting the best for someone who believes we are the worst . . . or listening to understand someone who does not think about understanding us . . . and loving those who hate who we are and what we do.
It’s powerful to love someone who does not love us.
This kind of love can only be explained as a miracle of the heart.
Perception . . .
“Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me” (2 Corinthians 12:9 (NLT)).
