Christmas . . . we tend to gear up for the day . . . and decompress immediately after . . . as we get ready to go back to the routine of ordinary living. . . but there’s more to discover . . . and experience because of Christmas.
Think about the Christmas Shepherds.
They were ordinary men doing an ordinary job on an ordinary night.
But.
Ordinary would never be ordinary again.
One ordinary night, the Shepherds were surprised with the extraordinary.
- Imagine being in the dark of the night . . . until . . . an angel of the Lord appeared to them (Luke 2:7-9), filling the sky with light.
- Imagine the explosion of the light . . . and the brilliance shining in the darkness . . . in a surprising life-changing-never-to-be-the same moment.
- Imagine the response of the men . . . doing what they always did . . . until the skies were suddenly filled with miraculous light.
The Light transforms life every. single. day.
Perspective . . .
“That night, in a field near Bethlehem, there were shepherds watching over their flocks. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared in radiant splendor before them, lighting up the field with the blazing glory of God, and the shepherds were terrified!” (Luke 2: 8-9 (TPT)).
