THINK ON THIS . . . Holy Week Sunday
“The next day, the news that Jesus was on the way to Jerusalem swept through the city. A large crowd of Passover visitors took palm branches and went down the road to meet him. They shouted, “Praise God! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Hail to the King of Israel!” (John 12:12-13, Voice).
“Now before the Feast of the Passover, Jesus knowing that His hour had come that He would depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end” (John 13:1, NASB).
The hour has come.” These words mark the shift from “‘what was” to “what would be” through the incomprehensible and unstoppable power of God’s love . . and underlines the transforming power of what occurred on . . . Holy Week.
God continues to release this amazing transforming power.
So. The story of Jesus’ coming to Jerusalem is about God with us . . . doing more than anyone would have imagined all those years ago and in 2020 . . . transforming panic to calm, fear to faith, and hopelessness to hope.
So. Check in with us this week and join us on the journey of Holy Week and think on what it means for the world today.
