Vision: Faith

A portion of my childhood was spent in La Grande, Oregon.   While I have many wonderful memories, the memory of the beauty of the surrounding Blue Mountain range is the memory that imprinted deep within my soul.  I often climbed out of my bedroom window  to watch the sun rise on the mountains.  As the day dawned, the light transformed the range into stunning shades of blue and purple.

The thing is . . . the beauty of it all . . . led me to live with faith.  Though I was child, it seemed clear to me that humanity had nothing to do with the making a mountain range of changing colors.  As far as I was concerned, only God could have done something so amazing.  Once the morning started, I would look up to the mountains and remember what I had seen.

I would love to go back to the little town of La Grande, and experience the light breaking through the darkness on the mountain range.   I know it would be more amazing now than it was then.

Anyway . . .

It gave me the ability to see life through faith.  Because. God is always at work, doing more than can be imagined.   Yes.

The work of God is often unseen.

Faith is being certain of the unseen work of God.

We can be sure it will be revealed at the right time.

We will be amazed at the stunning work of God.

At the end of the day, faith is being certain of the unseen work of God.

Think On This . . .

The thing is  . . .  someone will always think something is impossible . . . explaining the reasons, why we should not, can not, and dare not think it can be otherwise.

How do we have faith when things seem impossible?

  • Faith is vision.
  • Faith is certainty in God.
  • Faith does not come from ourselves but from the presence of God.
  • Faith changes the way we live life and face the mountains.

When we step into faith . . . leaving fear behind . . . we are certain God is able to do more than we can imagine . . . believing God has a plan of hope and a future.

Perspective . . .

“I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible” (Matthew 17:20, NLT).
